Reeth Brass Band, Songs of Praise 2026

Seeing Swaledales beautiful Reeth Village Green on that Sunday afternoon even more busy then usual with the pride of place reserved for the band members was really special! With Reeth Brass Band and musical director Damien Dunphy at the ready we were dashing to take our place among the music lovers keen to both listen and sing the moving Songs of Praise. We were all handed out the sheets with texts and each of the songs was introduced by one the ministers gathered for the event. A mixture of history, laughter and interesting facts about each of the repertoire followed before led by Reeth Brass Band we were soon joined in with the singing. A moving experience really in such a setting, all us strangers brought together, singing together while admiring the tunes, savouring the words, and taking in a breathtaking vista down the dale... and up in the skies where the storm was brewing.
