Aysgarth Edwardian Rock Garden must be one of the most unusual Listed Buildings in the Yorkshire Dales. It was commissioned in the years before the First World War by Frank Sayer-Graham.

Messrs J Backhouse & Son of York was brought in to design and build the rock garden and construction began in 1906. Large weathered blocks of limestone were brought down from the fells to create a huge walk through rocky terrain complete with mountain stream, pool and exotic plants..
