Compass Points Direction Sign at White Wells, Ilkley. White Wells is a spa bath on Ilkley Moor in West Yorkshire, England. A single plunge pool survives today inside the Cottage. White Wells was instrumental in establishing Ilkley as a spa town. Charles Darwin visited Ilkley in 1859 and is believed to have "taken the waters" at White Wells.
